NON-INVASIVE: The Sunshine Ligustrum is a sterile, non-invasive hedging plant that offers a beautiful pop of color. With this cultivar producing no flowers the threat of the shrub multiplying and/or creating more issues for those with allergies is reduced to 0. Mature plants reach 3-4′ wide by 3-6′ tall and offer a semi-deciduous appearance in zone 6 gardens.
USDA ZONES: The Sunshine Ligustrum privet is hardy in zones 6-10. Once you have planted your Sunshine Ligustrum water deeply to settle. Make sure your soil is well draining as Ligustrum plants are easily susceptible to root rot. Water new plantings 2-3 times per week for the first growing season to help them establish deep root systems.
USES: The Sunshine Ligustrum is a perfect shrub for any landscape. They are drought and heat tolerant and live up to 30 years on average. Try planting in mass for a truly impressive display or use a row of yellow shrubs for a small topiary or hedge.
