Adaptable to a variety of materialsFor cutting soft wood such as fir, the chainsaw depth gauge can be adjusted to 0.04 inches (0.9 mm); for cutting hard wood such as cypress, the depth can be adjusted to 0.03 inches (0.7 mm) to ensure efficient cutting.

Easy to UseWhen cutting softwood wood, the depth should be adjusted to a shallower surface, while for hardwood wood, the depth should be adjusted to a flat surface. When in use, hold the depth gauge firmly with one hand and use a flat document with the other hand to scrape off the protruding portion of the depth gauge. Note that while all depths require grinding, the depth gauge setting holes are different for the left and right cutters. This extends the life of the saw chain.
